Description
A comforting and hearty cheesy beef roll made with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and flaky crescent dough, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain any excess grease after cooking.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes. Then, transfer it to a bowl and mix in the cheddar, mozzarella, and parsley until the cheese begins to melt slightly.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough on a flat surface, ensuring to press the seams together to form a large sheet.
- Spread the cheesy beef mixture evenly across the dough, leaving a small border.
- Roll the dough from one long side into a tight log, pinching the seam to seal and tucking in the ends securely.
- Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush the top and sides with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the roll turns a lovely golden brown.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing into thick rounds. Garnish with extra parsley if desired. Enjoy warm!
Notes
