Description
A fluffy and moist banana bread filled with rich semi-sweet chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3-4 medium bananas)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, vegetable oil, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use very ripe bananas. This banana bread also freezes well for up to 3 months.
