Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 package biscuit mix or homemade shortcake recipe


Instructions

  1. Hull and slice the fresh strawberries, then mix them with the sugar in a bowl. Allow them to sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the shortcake biscuits according to the package instructions or your homemade recipe.
  3. Whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form—be careful not to over-whip!
  4. Slice the cooled shortcakes in half horizontally.
  5. Layer the bottom half of each shortcake with a generous serving of strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream.
  6. Place the top half of the biscuit on your layers and repeat for each serving.
  7. Serve immediately for that fresh, irresistible taste!
