Description
Juicy chicken burgers packed with spicy jalapeños and creamy Pepper Jack cheese, perfect for summer barbecues or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 cup Pepper Jack cheese, sliced
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce and tomato slices for topping
Instructions
- Start by preparing your ingredients. Chop the jalapeños and set them aside.
- Combine the ground chicken with the chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs in a large bowl. Mix everything until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into four equal patties, about 1-inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat or preheat your grill. Cook each patty for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
- Place the sliced Pepper Jack cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt while toasting the burger buns in another pan until golden.
- Assemble your burgers by placing the patty on the bun and topping with lettuce and tomato slices.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken beforehand. Don’t overmix the patty mixture to keep the burgers tender.
