Description

A delightful shrimp dish infused with garlic and Parmesan, enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce perfect for special occasions or elevating your weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes until it shimmers.
  2. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and slightly golden.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet; cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine and scraping the bottom of the skillet to get all those tasty bits.
  5. Lower the heat and add the grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Once the sauce reaches a creamy consistency, remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately!

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu. Feel free to add sun-dried tomatoes or replace Parmesan with feta cheese for a twist.
