Description
Crispy and healthy zucchini fries made in an air fryer, perfect for a guilt-free snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 2 medium zucchini
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg (or an egg substitute for a lower-calorie option)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the zucchini into uniform fry shapes for even cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each zucchini stick in the egg, making sure it’s fully coated, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture to coat evenly.
- Arrange the zucchini fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
For an extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs. You can also mix in different spices for a creative twist.
