An exciting flavor explosion of crispy, cheesy Parmesan chicken that brings the taste of a classic steakhouse right into your kitchen.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In one shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a second dish, whisk together the eggs and milk until well-blended.
- Place the flour in a third shallow dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish. In a bowl, combine the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic, then sprinkle this mixture over the chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
Notes
For a unique twist, consider using provolone or smoked cheese. Gluten-free breadcrumbs are a great substitution for dietary restrictions.
