Description

A delightful twist on the classic burger with caramelized onions and spicy jalapeños.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2-3 fresh jalapeños, sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Burger buns
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Cooking oil


Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a splash of cooking oil.
  2. Toss in the sliced onions and cook them until they become beautifully caramelized, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once the onions are ready, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. In that same skillet, form the ground beef into patties and smash them down, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then carefully flip them. If you’re using cheese, place a slice on each patty along with some jalapeño slices.
  6. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the burgers reach your desired doneness.
  7. While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly in the skillet until golden.
  8. To assemble, place the patties on the buns and top them generously with the caramelized onions.
  9. Serve immediately, and take time to savor every bite of your flavorful creation!

Notes

Feel free to customize the heat level by adjusting the number of jalapeños.
