Description

A fluffy cake layered with ripe strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for celebrations or weekend treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is well blended.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into your wet mixture, combining just until you see no dry flour.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Whip together the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  9. Layer the cooled cake with sliced strawberries and the whipped cream for serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy whipping cream with coconut cream. Feel free to use different berries for a variation.
