A guilt-free twist on the classic Ohio favorite, blending creamy peanut butter with rich dark chocolate for a delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the natural peanut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar, mixing until it’s fully blended into the peanut butter mixture.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to help them firm up.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off before placing it back on the baking sheet.
- Put the dipped balls back in the refrigerator until the chocolate sets.
