A quick and delectable Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp recipe that’s packed with flavor, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp (21-25 count), peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- If using frozen shrimp, ensure you thaw them completely under cold running water. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a medium bowl, melt the butter. Once melted, add in the minced garlic and stir well.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and lemon juice to the butter-garlic mixture, mixing until combined.
- Incorporate the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if desired), salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything is well blended.
- Place the shrimp into the bowl with the sauce, tossing to coat each piece. Cover and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes to marinate.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle any remaining sauce over them.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, curling slightly as they cook.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
If desired, you can substitute other cheeses for a twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
