Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup warm water
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Mix the dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for 3–4 minutes until smooth.
- Rest the dough: Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the garlic butter: Combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Shape the flatbreads: Divide the dough into 6–8 pieces and roll each into a ¼-inch thick circle.
- Cook the flatbreads: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Brush and serve: Brush each hot flatbread with the garlic butter and serve warm.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter. To reheat, warm in a skillet for best texture.
