Description

Warm, golden flatbreads studded with fragrant garlic, brushed with melted butter, and ready in under 30 minutes—these flatbreads are perfect as a side, snack, or for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix the dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for 3–4 minutes until smooth.
  2. Rest the dough: Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the garlic butter: Combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Shape the flatbreads: Divide the dough into 6–8 pieces and roll each into a ¼-inch thick circle.
  5. Cook the flatbreads: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Brush and serve: Brush each hot flatbread with the garlic butter and serve warm.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use vegan butter. To reheat, warm in a skillet for best texture.
