Description

Delightful overnight oats made with brown sugar, cinnamon, and almond milk, perfect for busy mornings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups almond milk (or preferred milk alternative)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 ½ Tbsp. brown sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans


Instructions

  1. Add ½ cup rolled oats and ½ cup almond milk to each of four individual 8oz. mason jars.
  2. Stir well to combine.
  3. Mix the vanilla, cinnamon, brown sugar, salt, and maple syrup until smooth in a small bowl.
  4. Pour ¼ of the brown sugar mixture into each jar and stir again to ensure everything is well mixed.
  5. Close the jars and refrigerate them for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
  6. When ready to serve, remove from the fridge and top with chopped pecans, a sprinkle of brown sugar, and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, try layering in fresh fruits or nuts. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
