Description

Crispy Rice Paper Spring Rolls are fresh-style rolls made with rice paper, filled with crunchy vegetables, fresh herbs, and your choice of protein, perfect for dipping in sauces.

Ingredients

  • Rice paper sheets
  • Fresh vegetables: lettuce, carrots, bell peppers, cucumber
  • Cooked protein: shrimp, chicken, or tofu
  • Fresh herbs: mint, cilantro
  • Dipping sauce: peanut sauce, hoisin sauce
  • Extra herbs for garnish
  • Additional dipping sauce on the side

Instructions

  1. Prep everything first by slicing vegetables and proteins into thin, uniform strips.
  2. Soak a rice paper sheet in warm water for about 10–15 seconds until it becomes pliable.
  3. Lay the softened rice paper on a clean, damp towel and start layering your fillings.
  4. Fold the sides in over the filling and roll from the bottom up, keeping it snug.
  5. Crisp the exterior if desired by lightly pan-frying each roll in a small amount of oil until golden.
  6. Repeat until all fillings are used and serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauces.

Notes

Soak rice paper just long enough to avoid tearing. Assemble rolls just before serving for the best texture.
