A comforting creamy chicken pasta dish made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 8 oz pasta (like penne or rotini)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and set your slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot. Stir in the cooked pasta and parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving warm.
Notes
To avoid mushy pasta, always cook it separately before adding it to the crockpot. Marinating the chicken overnight can enhance the flavor.
