Description

A creamy and aromatic Indian classic filled with spices and tender chicken.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • Vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger, then sauté until softened.
  3. Toss in the chicken pieces; cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, garam masala, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Finally, mix in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring gently.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice, along with your choice of vegetables.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or use yogurt to avoid curdling.
