Description

A delightful blueberry cream cheese casserole made with buttery croissants, perfect for brunch or cozy family breakfasts.

Ingredients

  • 4 buttery croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.
  3. Place the torn croissant pieces into the greased baking dish.
  4. Add spoonfuls of softened cream cheese scattered throughout the croissant pieces.
  5. Sprinkle the blueberries on top of the croissants.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything, making sure all the pieces are well-soaked.
  7. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb those delicious flavors.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, and drizzle with homemade blueberry sauce if desired!

Notes

For best results, use day-old croissants. You can prepare the mixture the night before to save time.
