Description

A luxurious breakfast featuring creamy cheesecake filling and sweet blueberries nestled between thick slices of bread.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of thick-cut bread
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Blend the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto three slices of bread. Top with the remaining slices to create sandwiches.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a tablespoon of butter.
  5. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
  6. Cook the sandwiches in the skillet until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Serve warm, drizzled generously with maple syrup.

Notes

For best results, use day-old bread. Consider using whole grain bread for a healthier option.
