Ingredients
- 1 can of flaky biscuits
- 1 pound of sausage
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Optional: cooked eggs for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the biscuit package instructions.
- Arrange the biscuits on a pizza pan or baking sheet and bake until golden-brown.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the sausage. Cook until browned and cooked through, then drain excess fat.
- Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir for 1–2 minutes.
- Add the milk gradually while stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the sausage gravy evenly over the baked biscuits.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese and add cooked eggs if desired.
- Bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
Letting the pizza rest a few minutes before slicing helps the gravy set for cleaner slices.
