Ingredients
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup gravy (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles until cooked through.
- Combine the biscuit mix with the cooked sausage in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Spread the sausage-biscuit mixture in a greased baking dish and pour the egg mixture on top.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top and bake for 25–30 minutes until set and golden.
- Let the casserole rest, slice, and serve warm with gravy if desired.
