Description

A delightful morning treat that transforms leftover croissants into a delicious breakfast extravaganza with cream cheese and mixed berries.

Ingredients

  • 4 croissants, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish with butter.
  2. Blend the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Layer croissant pieces evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle mixed berries on top.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the croissants and berries.
  5. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl, then pour this mixture over the croissant and berry layer.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight for best flavor, if time allows.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden and set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

To ensure even soaking, use stale croissants if available. Adjust sweetness of the cream cheese to your preference.
