Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1-2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp sriracha
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for 20-30 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Dredge the marinated shrimp in the flour mixture, then fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the Bang Bang sauce.
- Assemble tacos with crispy shrimp, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, and drizzle with Bang Bang sauce.
Notes
For a twist, substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu; adjust spiciness to your taste.
