Description

Crispy shrimp in a creamy, spicy sauce, tucked into soft taco shells for a flavorful dining experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1-2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tsp sriracha


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for 20-30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Dredge the marinated shrimp in the flour mixture, then fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  5. Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the Bang Bang sauce.
  6. Assemble tacos with crispy shrimp, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, and drizzle with Bang Bang sauce.

Notes

For a twist, substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu; adjust spiciness to your taste.
