Decadent brownies that combine the earthy sweetness of bananas with rich chocolate for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
- 3 medium ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fully combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the banana mixture until well combined.
- Pour in the milk and stir gently, adding the chocolate chips last.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle it on top of the batter before baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, slice, and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, use very ripe bananas. Slightly underbaking will give gooey brownies.
