Description

Decadent brownies that combine the earthy sweetness of bananas with rich chocolate for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fully combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
  6. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the banana mixture until well combined.
  7. Pour in the milk and stir gently, adding the chocolate chips last.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  9. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle it on top of the batter before baking.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas. Slightly underbaking will give gooey brownies.
