- 1 loaf of challah or brioche bread
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for the streusel)
Instructions
- Begin by cutting your bread into cubes and placing them in a greased baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, gently pressing them down to ensure everything is well-soaked.
- In another bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and ground cinnamon, mixing until crumbly.
- Spread this delicious streusel topping over the bread mixture.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or, for the best results, overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 60 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the middle.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
