Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Press the tofu by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and placing a weight on top for 15-20 minutes.
- Once pressed, slice the tofu into cubes or your preferred shape.
- Toss the tofu with soy sauce and marinate for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the marinated tofu and toss until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu to the pan and cook, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy (5-7 minutes).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce. Experiment with different marinades for variety.
