Description

A delightful layer cake featuring fluffy vanilla sponge, juicy strawberries, and light whipped cream, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • Fluffy vanilla sponge cake
  • About 2 pints of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Strawberry simple syrup
  • Heavy cream (for whipped cream)
  • Sugar (to sweeten the whipped cream)
  • Vanilla extract (optional)


Instructions

  1. Bake the fluffy vanilla sponge cake according to your recipe or box instructions and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Slice the cooled cake horizontally into two or three layers.
  3. Brush each layer with strawberry simple syrup.
  4. Add sliced strawberries on top of the syrup-soaked layers.
  5. Spread lightly sweetened whipped cream over the strawberries.
  6. Top with another layer of whipped cream and garnish with fresh strawberries.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

Store the cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Unassembled layers can be frozen for up to a month.
