Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup queso cheese
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • Tortillas (flour or corn)
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, avocado, etc.

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the salsa over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-covered.
  3. Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the top.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set to low (6-8 hours) or high (3-4 hours).
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, add the queso cheese and stir to combine.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix well.
  7. Serve in tortillas, topped with your favorite garnishes.
