Description

Perfectly baked potatoes with crispy skin and fluffy interiors, topped with butter, sour cream, and fresh chives for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • Large russet potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Coarse salt
  • Butter (to taste)
  • Sour cream (to taste)
  • Chives (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry.
  3. Prick each potato several times with a fork.
  4. Rub each potato generously with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  5. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until the skins are crispy and the insides feel soft.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  8. Cut open the potatoes and top with butter, sour cream, and chives, or any other desired toppings.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, let the potatoes sit uncovered in the fridge for a few hours before baking.
