- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Gradually add warm water while stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Gently knead the dough for about 3 minutes, just until it comes together.
- Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a frying pan, heat enough oil over medium-high heat to submerge the bread.
- Divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions and flatten them into disks about half an inch thick.
- Fry each disk in hot oil for about 2 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown.
- Once cooked, drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Feel free to substitute all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier alternative. Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
