Description
A delightful twist on the classic cheeseburger, these handheld treats are filled with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and a hint of garlic.
Ingredients
- 450 g ground beef
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- Garlic powder (to taste)
- Onion powder (to taste)
- 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 120 g shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Optional: diced crispy bacon, chopped pickles, or caramelized onions
- 1 tube refrigerated biscuit or pizza dough; cut into 8–12 rounds and flattened to 10 cm in diameter
- 28 g unsalted butter, melted
- 5 g minced garlic or garlic powder
- 15 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until there’s no pink left. Drain excess fat, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Let the mixture cool completely.
- Once the beef mixture is cool, fold in your shredded cheese and any extras like bacon or pickles if desired.
- Flatten each piece of dough into a 10 cm circle. Place 1–2 tablespoons of the cooled beef mixture in the center. Pinch the edges tightly to form a sealed ball.
- Position the dough balls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking tray, spacing them evenly.
- Mix the melted butter with minced garlic and brush it generously over the tops of each dough ball. Finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Preheat your oven to 190°C. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
- Once out of the oven, brush with any leftover garlic butter and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
