Description
Crispy taquitos filled with a creamy mixture of shredded chicken, cheese, and taco seasoning, perfect for family dinners or snacks.
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded chicken (cooked and seasoned)
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 1-2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 10 small tortillas (flour or corn)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and taco seasoning. Stir until well-mixed and creamy.
- Take a tortilla and place a small portion of the filling on one side. Roll it tightly and place it seam-side down on a baking sheet.
- Brush each taquito with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with guacamole or salsa.
Notes
For a kick, add finely chopped jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
