Description

A delightful and crunchy snack made from chickpeas with aromatic Mediterranean spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Sea salt, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas well. Spread them out on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to dry completely.
  3. Toss the dried chickpeas in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, and sea salt until well coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned chickpeas on a baking sheet in a single layer to ensure even roasting.
  5. Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving for maximum crunch.

Notes

For added heat, feel free to sprinkle cayenne pepper. Store in an airtight container and consume within 1-2 days for optimal crunch.
