A delightful and crunchy snack made from chickpeas with aromatic Mediterranean spices.
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas well. Spread them out on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels to dry completely.
- Toss the dried chickpeas in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, and sea salt until well coated.
- Spread the seasoned chickpeas on a baking sheet in a single layer to ensure even roasting.
- Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving for maximum crunch.
Notes
For added heat, feel free to sprinkle cayenne pepper. Store in an airtight container and consume within 1-2 days for optimal crunch.
