A flavorful explosion with juicy chicken in a crispy coating, tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce – perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup cornstarch
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil, for frying
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Spring onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, season the shredded chicken with salt and pepper, mixing well to ensure every piece is coated.
- Dredge the seasoned chicken in cornstarch until well coated, shaking off any excess.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken and fry until golden brown and crispy, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in another pan, combine soy sauce, chilli sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Stir on low heat until mixed and fragrant.
- Once the chicken is fried, carefully add it to the sauce. Toss to ensure that every piece is well coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped spring onions for an extra crunch and fresh flavor.
Notes
Feel free to swap the chilli sauce for a milder version. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
