Description

Deliciously seasoned chicken thighs baked to perfection, with a crispy skin and juicy meat, ideal for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1½ teaspoons sea salt
  • ¾ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Olive oil or avocado oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 415°F (210°C) and line a baking dish with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, turmeric, oregano, and thyme.
  3. Carefully peel the skin back from the chicken thighs, keeping it attached on one side.
  4. Place the chicken thighs, skin-side down, in the prepared baking dish. Generously sprinkle with the seasoning mix, ensuring every crevice gets coated.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs over, exposing the meat side, and repeat the seasoning process. Allow the skin to then lie back over the thigh.
  6. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the skin and sprinkle with any remaining seasoning mix.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
