Description

These creamy Swedish meatballs are a delightful blend of tender beef and pork, simmered in a rich sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth, heavy cream, soy sauce, and flour. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the browned meatballs to the skillet and let them simmer in the sauce for about 10 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken. To enhance flavor, sauté the onions before adding them to the meat mixture.
