Description
A comforting, creamy pasta dish with bold Cajun flavors and succulent shrimp, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and let it melt into the sauce.
- Return the sautéed shrimp to the skillet, then add the cooked pasta, tossing everything together to coat well.
- Adjust the flavor with salt and pepper to your liking.
- Serve hot, topped with chopped parsley for a fresh finish.
Notes
Ensure not to overcook the shrimp to avoid toughness. You can also add vegetables or adjust the cheese for different flavors.
