Description

A comforting, creamy pasta dish with bold Cajun flavors and succulent shrimp, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  4. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and let it melt into the sauce.
  5. Return the sautéed shrimp to the skillet, then add the cooked pasta, tossing everything together to coat well.
  6. Adjust the flavor with salt and pepper to your liking.
  7. Serve hot, topped with chopped parsley for a fresh finish.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the shrimp to avoid toughness. You can also add vegetables or adjust the cheese for different flavors.
