This delightful side dish combines the freshness of green beans with crispy bacon and a rich sweet-savory sauce, making it a perfect addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Place drained green beans in the baking dish, pour sauce over beans and toss to coat. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and slightly thickened.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier twist, use low-sodium soy sauce or turkey bacon.
