Description

A delicious and crispy chicken sandwich that mimics the classic Chick-fil-A flavor, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce (optional)
  • Tomato (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off.
  4. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it shimmers.
  6. Fry each chicken piece for about 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oil and let it drain on paper towels.
  8. Toast the hamburger buns until golden.
  9. Assemble the sandwich by placing the fried chicken on each bun, adding pickles, and lettuce or tomato if desired.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper to the flour mixture. You can substitute gluten-free flour if needed.
