Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 hamburger buns
- Pickles
- Lettuce (optional)
- Tomato (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off.
- Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Fry each chicken piece for about 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the oil and let it drain on paper towels.
- Toast the hamburger buns until golden.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing the fried chicken on each bun, adding pickles, and lettuce or tomato if desired.

Notes
