Description

Fresh and flavorful shrimp tacos topped with a creamy slaw, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb wild-caught shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest (from 1 lime)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (from the same lime)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ bunch cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (from 1 whole lime)
  • Avocado, sliced
  • 8 6-inch tortillas (corn or flour)
  • Extra lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and chili powder.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat, add shrimp, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Stir in lime zest, lime juice, and honey, then mix in chopped cilantro.
  3. For the slaw, combine shredded cabbage, Greek yogurt, and lime juice in a separate bowl and mix until well blended.
  4. Warm tortillas in another skillet, then assemble by placing shrimp and slaw onto each tortilla.
  5. Top with avocado slices and serve with extra lime wedges on the side.

Notes

Use wild-caught shrimp for the best flavor. Customize the slaw with additional ingredients like carrots or radishes.
