Description
A guilt-free indulgence made with ripe bananas and rich cocoa for a creamy frozen treat.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 cups Greek yogurt (unsweetened or flavored)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup honey (or adjust to your sweetness preference)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Slice the ripe bananas into 1/2-inch rounds and freeze them on a single layer for about 2 hours, or until solid.
- Add the frozen banana slices to a high-speed blender or food processor along with the Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Pulse the mixture to break up the frozen bananas. Then, blend continuously until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed. If stuck, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk to help it along.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve immediately for a soft-serve vibe, or transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 1–3 hours for firmer scoops.
Notes
For even creamier yogurt, use full-fat Greek yogurt. Don’t rush the blending process for a smoother outcome.
