Delicious Chicken Street Tacos made with marinated chicken, warm corn tortillas, and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Chicken breast (boneless and skinless)
- 8 Corn tortillas
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 Onion (diced)
- 1/2 cup Fresh cilantro
- 1 Lime (for zest)
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: Combine olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add chicken and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Grill the chicken: Preheat the grill over medium-high heat and grill chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Warm tortillas: In a skillet over medium heat, warm each corn tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Slice or shred the chicken: After resting, slice or shred the chicken using two forks.
- Assemble tacos: Place chicken on tortillas and top with diced onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
- Serve immediately: Enjoy warm with extra lime on the side.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, consider using grilled vegetables instead of chicken. Marinate the chicken for up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
