Description

Crispy, golden potato wedges that are perfectly spiced and easy to make. A healthier baked alternative to classic fried wedges, ideal for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 32 oz waxy potatoes (about 4 large potatoes)
  • 1½ teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Low-fat cooking spray or 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt, patting them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder for your spice blend.
  4. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise, then cut each half lengthwise again to create eight wedges per potato.
  5. Place the wedges in a large mixing bowl, spray with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil, and toss with the spice mix to coat.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Spread the wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with non-stick foil.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  9. Once out of the oven, season with additional salt if desired.

Notes

Waxy potatoes like Yukon Gold or red-skinned varieties work best for this recipe. For consistent cooking, cut all wedges to a similar size and spread in a single layer.
