Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup buttermilk (for marinating)
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Taco shells
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for about 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a bowl for the Bang Bang Sauce.
- Assemble tacos with crispy shrimp, Bang Bang Sauce, avocado, green onions, and lettuce.
- Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
Best served warm. Store shrimp and toppings separately if there are leftovers.
