Description

Crispy and flavorful chicken breasts coated in a sweet and spicy honey hot sauce, perfect for any weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of hot sauce (adjust based on your spice tolerance)
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken breasts and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. Set up your breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Coat each piece of chicken in flour, dip it into the egg, and cover it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down gently to ensure it sticks.
  5. Place the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each piece.
  6. Bake the chicken for 30 minutes, turning halfway through for even cooking.
  7. While the chicken is baking, mix honey with hot sauce in a bowl.
  8. Once the chicken is done, baste it evenly with the honey hot sauce mixture.
  9. Broil the chicken for an additional 5 minutes to achieve extra crispiness.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Double-bread your chicken for extra crunch! Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
