Description
Delicious loaded fries topped with savory ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and creamy sour cream—perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds frozen french fries
- 8 ounces ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the french fry packaging. Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake the fries according to package directions until golden brown and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned; drain off any excess grease. Season the beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and either place them in an oven-safe dish or return them to the baking sheet.
- Generously top the hot fries with the cooked ground beef.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef and fries. Return to the oven for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and dollop with sour cream, sprinkling fresh chives on top before serving immediately.
Notes
Extra crispy fries can be achieved by broiling for a minute or two before adding toppings.
