Description

Transform ordinary apples into crispy, sweet snacks that are perfect for both kids and adults alike.


Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Peel the apples (if desired) and cut them into fry-like sticks. Pat them dry.
  2. Set up three coating stations: one with flour, another with whisked egg and milk, and the last with panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon mixed together.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip it into the egg mixture, and then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Notes

Serve with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days and reheat in the air fryer.
