Description

Delightful Air Fryer Apple Fries transform ordinary apples into crispy, sweet snacks that are perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples: Peel (if desired) and cut apples into fry-like sticks, then pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Set up coating stations: In three bowls, prepare the coating stations – flour in the first, whisked egg and milk in the second, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with sugar and cinnamon in the third.
  3. Coat the apple sticks: Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip in egg mixture, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring each piece is well-covered.
  4. Air fry: Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Notes

For serving, drizzle with caramel dip or top with yogurt or whipped cream. Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, reheat in the air fryer for best results.
