A comforting casserole featuring ground beef, potatoes, and creamy mushroom soup, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground hamburger
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground hamburger until it’s nicely browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Lightly grease a baking dish, and layer half of your sliced potatoes on the bottom.
- Spread the cooked hamburger evenly over the potatoes.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the meat, making sure it covers the layers.
- Add the remaining sliced potatoes on top, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheese generously on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
Serve with a side salad, steamed vegetables, or garlic bread. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
